The Decahedron video for "No Carrier" is featured on the Twisted TV DVD Volume 1 that was just released on Go Kart. Other bands on the DVD include Planes Mistaken For Stars,The Vandals, VCR and many others.You will be able to find this at your favorite local music independent store or online at www.interpunk.com.

Haram will be hitting the road starting Saturday for a short tour down South with their good friends Pygmy Lush. It will be the first time Haram will be playing out with the expanded, 5-man line-up. The Glös full length, Harmonium , is now available for order on the Lovitt website. The official release date is March 27th . You can also buy the single, "Public Speaker," on iTunes or you can download it for free from eMusic if you are a subscriber to their service. For those not familiar, Glös started as a laptop file exchange between Keeley Davis (former frontman of Engine Down and bass/synth player for Denali and currently in Sparta) and Cornbread Compton (former drummer of Engine Down, Biology, and currently Heavens). After collaborating on over 20 songs and never having physically played the songs together in a rehearsal environment, the duo invited Keeley's sister Maura Davis (former frontwoman of Denali) to join the project and to add her beautiful, sultry vocals to the songs, and after two years of writing and refining, Glös has its first album.
Till the end of the month, we will be having a sale on all Engine Down records, the Bughummer CD and the Denali DVD. Its a good time to check out some of the members' previous projects when you pick up the Glös cd.
The long-awaited Ben Davis & the Jetts / Des Ark split entitled Battle of The Beards is now out and getting rave reviews. Alternative Press put it best when they called it "A Match Made In Indie-Rock Heaven." Des Ark has been doing some East Coast shows to support the release and is planning a five-week tour this summer. Before hitting the road this summer, Des Ark plans on recording a new full-length. Ben Davis & the Jetts will be touring Europe with Fin Fang Foom in June and hope to do some East Coast shows in May before going across the pond.
Haram has been writing new material and is planning on recording a new full length in the near future. Jeff Kane recently left the band and was replaced by long-time friend Kevin Longendyke (City of Caterpillar). The band is now also a five-piece, with the newest addition being Ben Tankersley. The band is going to be starting to playing out live with the new line-up in April.
Bats & Mice who are back to their original line up of Ben Davis, David NeSmith, and Jonathan Fuller, have begun working on their next full-length.
Decahedron has released two digital-only records. One is a live radio performance from WPRK, and the other comprises outtakes and unreleased material. You can find these on iTunes, eMusic, download punk, and many other services!
The Cassettes are currently on a long US tour and have CD and vinyl copies of their Lovitt S/T full-length with them. Their tour dates are on our site; check them out if they come through your town!
Anyone that has any recent footage of any of the bands, please do get in touch as we might be able to use it.

The long-awaited Ben Davis & the Jetts / Des Ark split entitled Battle Of The Beards is available for pre-order on the website. Ben Davis & the Jetts and Des Ark might be wildly different but it is rare to find a collaboration that works this well; both artists are in top form on this split full-length. The LP version is currently limited to 500 copies, with 250 on gold vinyl and 250 on green vinyl. The bands will be doing a CD release show together at the Cats Cradle in Chapel Hill on February 24th and hope to do a few shows together on the East Coast around the release.
The Rah Bras have decided that it's time to hang up the keyboards, keytars, and drum keys until 2037, which we are very sad about. If you are in the Richmond area, make sure to check out their last show (until their possible reunion in 2037). The details are as follows:

We are excited about the Glös full-length entitled Harmonium, set to come out in March. You will be hearing a lot about this record the next few months.
Des Ark plans on starting to record a new full-length in March with Jonathan Fuller in Richmond, Virginia.

Fin Fang Foom recently celebrated 10 years of being a band with a sold-out show at the Local 506 in Chapel Hill. They have been playing out and working on writing new material, which they hope to record at some point this year. The band will be touring Europe in June with Ben Davis & the Jetts.
Bats & Mice is going to start recording their next full-length this spring.
The Engine Down DVD is coming close to completion. We hope to have a new trailer on the website and a release date set soon. Also, Lovitt Transmissions: Volume Two will hopefully go into the editing phase this spring. Anyone that has any recent footage of any of the bands, please do get in touch as we might be able to use it.
Pinebender just got back from a 2-week tour. Their new record Working Nine To Wolf continues to garner critical acclaim. If you had not had a chance to check it out yet, we recommend that you do as it is a mind-blowing record.

After being a band for more than a decade, Rah Bras have decided that it's time to hang up the keyboards, keytars, and drum keys until 2037. They have scheduled one last show (until the possible reunion in 2037). The details are as follows:

J Robbins, formerly of Government Issue, Jawbox, and Burning Airlines, and now Channels, is a good friend of the label and has recorded a lot of our records. His 10-month old son, Cal was recently diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (Type 1), an often fatal disorder. Most children with Type 1 SMA will die before the age of two, as it affects their ability to crawl, walk, breathe, swallow, and control their head and neck. At this point in time, it does not have a cure. SMA-stricken babies who live past the age of two are likely to be wheelchair-bound for life and probably require scoliosis surgery. The condition is an expensive one, especially for parents looking to test out its experimental treatments, which is something J and his wife hope to do.
